    Pépinières Européennes de Création and the Quebec Co-operative Méduse are launching a call for applications for two residencies supporting writing, curatorial, research-creation, or production projects in one or more disciplines of the visual and media/digital arts. The residencies will take place January-March 2021 and April-June 2021 in Quebec City. The call is primarily aimed at emerging artists, and artists must hold a citizenship other than Canadian.   • News / AI Lab > European ARTificial Intelligence Lab, Astronomy x AI (Netherlands, Austria)

    The AI Lab (European ARTificial Intelligence Lab) is inviting international artists working in the field of AI to apply for a two-part residency. The first part will last 4-6 weeks and take place at Leiden Observatory in the Netherlands, where the winning artist will have a dedicated science mentor to inspire their work. The second part will be 3-6 weeks with the Futurelab team at Ars Electronica (based in Linz, Austria) with whom the winner will develop and make new work inspired by the residency at Leiden Observatory.   • News / Photon Foundation > Open Call for Artist in Residence 2020

    Photon Foundation has announced an open call for artistic residencies #home edition, during which artists will create audiovisual projects in their homes and studios to be presented in the 360° Gallery in Krakow, Poland. During a 31-day home residency, between 15 September 2020 – 18/ October 2020, three selected artists (or artistic groups) are going to work in their homes and studios on their own audiovisual project dedicated to the innovative projection system in the 360° Gallery in the centre of the Kazimierz district at Beera Meiselsa 18 street in Krakow. Applications are invited from audiovisual artists or artistic groups (max. 2 people). Deadline: 15 July 2020.

  • News / Open Call for Media Art Residency in Creative City Košice

    Košice – UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts offers media artists a two-month stay in Košice this autumn (21 September – 29 November 2020). The residency is an opportunity to create a new project or to continue work on something in development by shifting its perspective and embracing the topic for the open call, ‘Human Responsibility’. The open call is limited to the artists who are either born, live or work in any of the UNESCO Creative Cities. Deadline: 30 June 2020.
