The School of Arts at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa is accepting applications for an artistic residency funded by the InResidence programme, promoted by the Porto Municipality. The selected artist will work for a period of three months between September and December 2022. The residency is open to artists working in: Cinema, Sound, Photography, New Media Art, Heritage and Conservation and Restoration.

The Nordic Lights project will support six new audiovisual performances created by 12 artists and presented at 3 festivals. The performances will be formed at mini-residencies in Norway, Finland and Sweden hosted by the festivals, where selected artists will collaborate across national borders. The ideal length of the residency is 7-14 days, and will take place in May–August 2022.

Open Futures 2022 invites collaborative submissions, consisting of one dance artist and one digital media artist, who are exploring the potential of interdisciplinary exchange within practices that consider stage, gallery, installation and outdoor settings. Three pairs of artists will be selected for this two-week mentored and technically supported residency in Limerick, Ireland.

The netart and digital culture initiative ‘mur.at’ in Graz, Austria is inviting applications for several virtual and one on-site artist in residence. This year the programme focuses on digital artists working with Interactive Digital Narratives, Online performance and Interactive Fiction. Residencies start in May 2022.

Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen invites visual and media artists, art critics, theorists, and curators to apply for a fellowship in 2022–2023 (3 October 2022 – 17 June 2023). Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen is a postgraduate centre for production, research and exchange in the fields of visual arts and art theory.

Enter, Het Nieuwe Instituut’s new video conferencing platform, is seeking its second artist in residence to create an artwork as a separate ‘room’ in Enter. The residency runs 1-22 February 2022 and the work will be premiered at an online event on 24 February 2022.

The Logan Nonfiction Program is a hybrid fellowship for nonfiction writers, documentary filmmakers, photojournalists, podcasters and multimedia creators. The fellowship combines virtual and in-person programming in two classes per year of 10-12 fellows per class. Provisional dates for the coming year are 2 April - 11 June 2022 and 16 July – 24 September 2022.

The Fay Chiang Fellowship is a year-long programme of support for any individual artist, journalist, writer, musician, producer, or collective whose work integrates creative practice with rigorous journalistic research, writing and multimedia production. The theme of the 2022 Fay Chiang Fellowship for Artistic Journalism is: ‘Fault Lines & Fragile States’. Applicants apply with a proposal for a piece of long-form narrative storytelling.

Digital Identities are looking to commission a digital artist for a storytelling commission between April and December 2022 to create a 6-part multimedia diary.

Each year QUAD appoints an International Digital Fellow or Fellows to work with its Curatorial Team to develop a project for an exhibition, along with accompanying talks, advocacy and the mentoring of local and regional artists. QUAD is seeking to appoint two outstanding Digital Fellows for 2021-2022, starting in November 2021 and concluding in October 2022, to work around a theme of ‘Play’.

Founded in 1986 in the Outaouais region of Quebec, DAÏMÔN is a resource centre for artists in the region. It also hosts artists from Quebec, the rest of Canada and abroad in production residencies. DAÏMÔN is currently calling for artists for both in-person and virtual residencies.

For the second time the ZKM and the KME Karlsruhe Marketing and Event Ltd. will present the international BBBank Newcomer Projection Mapping Prize at the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Karlsruhe 2022. The winner will realise their projection mapping concept for the SCHLOSSLICHSTPIELE Karlsruhe 2022.
