SPIELART Theatre Festival and ARTIST IN RESIDENCE MUNICH, Villa Waldberta are offering a 3-month work and research residence from 5 July – 28 September 2022. SPIELART Theatre Festival is a biennial event presenting performances, theatre, dance and visual art at different venues in Munich.

The ArtScience residency is dedicated to artists from Eastern and South-Eastern Europe or who stand in close relation with the region, who work at the intersection of art, technology and science, and who are particularly interested in researching the social impact of technological developments. The programme involves residencies in 2022 at both Deutsche Telekom venues in Bonn/Berlin and at Ars Electronica in Linz.

Tranzit.cz announces an open call for curators for the 2024 edition of the Biennale Matter of Art. Both individuals and collectives are welcome to apply for the selection proceedings.

The Prince Claus Fund annually recognises 100 emerging artists and cultural practitioners within the first five years of their careers with Prince Claus Seed Awards. With this open call they invite emerging artists and cultural practitioners who live and work in eligible countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe to apply for an award.

While the United Nations proclaimed the Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development 2021-2030, the COAL Prize 2022 invites artists from around the world to explore these submerged universes to make them accessible to as many people as possible. The winner of the Prize will be awarded a grant and benefit from an (optional) residence run by the Museum of Hunting and Nature at the Belval Domaine in France.

Faki Festival invites proposals for theatre plays, circus, dance, installation, street performance, puppetry, workshops, or totally new forms of expression for its 25th edition from 23-29 May 2022. They are also open to video performance works, or theatrical proposals that innovate with digital forms. Short (one-week) residency proposals for development are invited.

How can art approach the issue of air? How can its interconnected immateriality be communicated using the methods of art? How can we ‘look’ at air, and what will we see when we turn our attention to it? Selected artworks will be presented at the Art Ii Biennial between 15-19 June 2022.

The Museo delle Civiltà in Rome, Italy is launching an open call for a residency and the production of a project on the topic ‘Care in a World We Share with Others/Caring in a Precarious World’. The call is addressed to activists, artists, researchers, or cultural actors and creatives with a background in museum practices, visual art, architecture, literature, design, or music. The call is open to collectives or teams if the accommodation and fee is shared.
