SHIFT Online Session on Gender & Power Relations – 6 October 2021

16:00-17:30 CEST - 15:00-16:30 GMT - 10:00-11:30 EST/EDT - 01:00-02:30 AEDT

No matter how atrocious and particular #MeToo cases are, they are never only related to an individual perpetrator. Sexual harassment and sexual abuse are a form of structural violence and are thus deeply entangled with the dominant gender, racial, economic and power structures.

In order to present the first results of new research on sexual harassment, bullying and power abuse in the European art field (see the publication with key findings), IETM invites you to join an online session on Gender & Power Relations, held as part of the SHIFT – Shared Initiatives for Training project on 6 October 2021 at 16-17:30 CET on Zoom. On the Move is a partner for this publication (first key findings and final reports).

This online session will be followed by a participatory discussion at the IETM Lyon Plenary Meeting 2021 on 22 October 2021, where the final SHIFT Gender & Power Relations research will be launched and where we will focus on the steps the culture sector can take together to combat sexual harassment and power abuse.

On the Move is a partner in the research process for both the key findings and the final report.
