Kino Úsmev announces an open call for applications for one-month artistic residencies in Košice, Slovakia, to take place between 10 April 2024 and 15 February 2025.

A new residency programme to develop artistic perspectives on bicycle cultures and communities in five European cities is being launched, between May and September 2024. Applicants must be a legal resident in one of the 40 Creative Europe countries.

ETC - European Theatre Convention are looking for emerging theatre artists (particularly stage directors and dramaturgs) to join them in the sixth edition of the ETC Artist Residency Programme, offering placements of 4 to 8 weeks at ETC Member Theatres. Various residencies will take place throughout the first half of 2024.

The cultural centre Malý Berlín and City of Trnava are looking for Slovak or foreign architects, urban planners, and researchers to undertake a residency from October – December 2023. Applicants will receive opportunities to work on a selected topic, get to know the local context, and propose a solution in direct collaboration with the main architect of the city of Trnava and his department.

The V4@Theatre Critics Residency will enable participants to watch and discuss performances at the 31st edition of the International Theatre Festival Divadelná Nitra (22-27 September 2023). Applicants should be under 35 and from Visegrad Group and Western Balkan countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Eastern Partnership countries.

The Inspiration Forum LAB is an interdisciplinary research programme designed to provide a space where artists and scientists can meet and work together on creating research-based multimedia art projects. The 2023/24 LAB will take place in phases from October 2023 – September 2024. The programme is open to applicants from EU Member States.

European artists, or collectives can apply to the EMAP residency programme with a project proposal for a residency of two months in 2024. The artists will be collaborating with an artist of their choice or an artist local to the platform’s host institutions.

The TBCK Forward residency programme focuses on women artists and cultural professionals from Central and Eastern Europe (Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia). The project ‘RENMUS - Renewable Music - V4 Composers for Sustainability’ invites composers from the Visegrad Group countries to apply for commissions to create new work that will be performed at four different concerts (in Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest). Selected composers will also join a programme of workshops and masterclasses from June – September 2024.

Within the framework of an international project supported by the Creative Europe programme, KAIR - Košice Artist in Residence are looking for artists based in the Spain who are interested in working with the topic of centre/periphery.
