    The 14th Bamako Encounters – The African Biennale of Photography will be held from 16 November 2024 to 15 January 2025 in Bamako, Mali. This call is open to artists from the African world and its diaspora – photographers and videographers, amateurs or professionals, alone or in groups, with no limit of age or nationality.

    Don Sen Folo: GNININI Women Research Residency for African Choreographers (Mali)
    In 2020, Don Sen Folo opened an artistic residency, the Don Sen Folo – LAB, on two hectares in the village of Bancoumana, 50 km from Bamako. This space can accommodate artists for their research, experimentation and creative work. GNININI WOMEN is a laboratory for young African choreographers under 35 years of age.

    African Culture Fund: ‘LEWO – Leadership and Empowerment for Women’ Boot Camp (Mali)
    The pan–African program LEWO (Leadership and Empowerment for Women) is dedicated to the professionalisation and capacity building of women artists and cultural entrepreneurs in Africa. 16 female artists and cultural entrepreneurs from West Africa and Central Africa will be selected to take part in BOOT CAMP #3 scheduled in Ségou from March 2023.

Les conditions principales de la résidence sont notamment de : Présenter un projet de création chorégraphique en espace public, Proposer un projet engagé dans une approche artistique contextuelle, avec ou pour la population locale, Être âgé.e de moins de 35 ans, Être ressortissant.e d’un pays d’Afrique et résider en Afrique.
