Idensitat, the Centro Cultural Las Cigarreras in Alicante, and the Casa de Cultura –Ayuntamiento in El Campello, with the collaboration of the Centro d’Arte e Natura di Civitella di Licenza – L’Aquila Reale are calling for applications from artists for the programme VAPORES, which combines artistic research residencies, located artistic interventions and mediation activities.
The programme is now calling for applications for the residency on the Monnegre River, Alicante, to develop an artistic and research production residency supported by the Centro Cultural Las Cigarreras and the Casa de Cultura de El Campello. The aim of the residency is to produce research and artwork from May until June 2025. The results will be presented publicly in the exhibition hall at the Casa de Cultura in El Campello.
Parallel to the residency, Idensitat, in collaboration with the culture and education departments of El Campello, will organise various outreach activities in schools and informal educational spaces.
The residency offers:
- Workspace during the residency period.
- An exhibition room in the Casa de Cultura of El Campello which can also be used as a one-time working space; this space will also be the showroom for the residency’s production which will be open to the general public during the last three weeks of the residency period.
- 2,400 EUR as fees for a two-month residency.
- 1,200 EUR for production costs.
- 1,600 EUR for accommodation and travel expenses, to be managed directly by the artist.
