Internship opportunity at Prince Claus Fund (the Netherlands)

The Communications Trainee will work directly with the Communications Officer to publicize the work of the Fund, including gallery openings, lectures, and events by PCF's partners and collaborators in the Netherlands and abroad.  

The trainee will gain extensive knowledge about the Fund’s network of outstanding artists, thinkers, cultural organisations and collaborators. PCF has numerous events to publicize and attend, which offers great networking opportunities. The Comms department works together in a team with Fundraising and Outreach, offering a supportive, interactive team environment. Depending on the trainee's skillset, this position also can offer the trainee quite a lot of independence and freedom to complete tasks on their own.


Fluent in Dutch (preferred); EXCELLENT written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch; Experience with CMS systems or an interest in navigating labyrinths; Experience with social media, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and PhotoShop; Efficient, quick, resourceful, pro-active, self-motivated, stress-resistant with the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment; Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented; Additional languages a plus; Pursuing BA/BS or MA/MS degree in communications/journalism, marketing or related field (preferred)

The Prince Claus Fund provides an allowance of € 250,- gross per month for a full-time trainee. Full- time availability is preferred, though a part-time traineeship is also possible. Ideally, the trainee will be available to start asap: May or June 2014 and work through September 2014.  It is also possible to work as a volunteer and receive a similar stipend if the applicant is not a registered student.
