More Europe - One Year On event - Brussels, 4 December

More Europe – external cultural relations is a cultural civic initiative that aims to highlight and reinforce the role of culture in the EU’s external relations. It calls upon EU institutions, Member States and civil society to work together in order to join up their visions, pool resources and coordinate their activities. After one year of advocacy, research and debates in Berlin, Paris, Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Warsaw, time has come to present the conclusions of one year of work. These results and conclusions will feed the discussion between high-level policy makers – among them, Pierre Vimont, European External Action Service Executive Secretary General – and international artists.

This One Year On event will present

• the main conclusions of the 2012 debates

• the outcomes of the research commissioned by More Europe, and conducted by Dr. Damien Helly, senior research fellow at the EU Institute for Security Studies

• best of best practices in cultural external relations
