Open Call: The Goethe-Institute London and SPACE Residency Programme 2017/18

(in)transit will explore the role of surveillance technologies within a globalised network; investigating how these technologies are adapting conventional visualisation methods, and their potential for revealing latent narratives embedded within sites.

The programme will focus on exploring the potentials of these technologies to make tangible the seemingly unseen, considering their impact on contemporary cartographic methods and their ability to emancipate power systems.

Submissions are welcomed from practitioners based in Germany whose work engages with and responds to this provocation. Though applicants must demonstrate strong links within the German cultural scene and should be based in Germany, there is however no requirement for the applicant to be a German national to qualify for the residency.

Selected artist receives:
- Three month residency term

- A fee of £2400

- A production allowance of £600

- A return flight
- Three month, double room accommodation

- Studio space

- Curatorial support and programming opportunities

- General support, advice and networking opportunities

Deadline: 2 October 2017
