Wijhat (Destinations) is a program developed by Culture Resource while merging the Mawa3eed and Tajwaal programs. It is designed to serve artists and cultural actors in the Arab region by offering grants of up to 8,000 US Dollars to support travel both within and outside the Arab region, thereby enabling the grantees to present their works to new audiences and to engage in new and diverse inter- and intra-Arab cultural exchange experiences. Applications are accepted throughout the year, but there are specific times for evaluating the applications and announcing the grantees.
Tbilisi Architecture Biennial is announcing a contest for public installation projects in the frame of first Biennial event “Buildings are not enough.” Various buildings and public spaces in Gldani district are planned to be the center of the dialogue about architectural and urban topics. The Biennial will include a symposium, exhibitions, interventions in Gldani public spaces, in collaborations with the local community, international architecture and urban planning experts, artists and scientists. This funding is intended for coproductions by artists in the fields of theatre, dance, music and performance art, in which hybrid and interdisciplinary formats and the use of digital media may be key components. The target group comprises professional artists and ensembles abroad and in Germany, which demonstrably lack sufficient resources to realize their coproduction project on their own. With the International Coproduction Fund the Goethe-Institut would like to support the unrestricted international and intercultural exchange of artists and their ideas. The facilitation of such an exchange and the networking it spawns among the various players are equally as important as the productions resulting from the project. Deadline: 15 October 2018.

Without Walls supports the creation and touring of a range of exciting and ambitious outdoor projects of different genres, styles and forms by UK artists. Its main agenda is to support new work of the highest quality. Artists are invited to submit proposals for the next round of Without Walls commissions, for new outdoor arts projects in any form which will premiere and tour in 2019. Gabriela Tudor Foundation (Bucharest) and Next Generation, Please! festival organised by BOZAR – Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels are launching a call for participants for 11 young people from Belgium and Romania interested in participating to an artistic exchange project to take place in Bucharest and Brussels between November 2018 – May 2019. Developed by Romanian choreographer Cosmin Manolescu, Emotional Europe proposes to zoom into the life, interests and politics of the new generation, but also reflect on experiences that propose to go beyond the comfort zone and on the new trends in contemporary art, by using the concept of emotional body and by questioning the role of activism in Europe today.
