T!LT (Turin Is Louder Today) PRO is calling for emerging artists and bands resident in Italy, Portugal and Spain, interested in undertaking a training course with expert professionals from the national and international music industry and performing in showcases on a stage during an international event to be held in Turin in November 2024.
T!LT will implement the artistic programme with activities dedicated to artists and young professionals within the European live music industry that will include professional training, networking, discussion and roundtable actions to provide strategies, methodologies and opportunities for live music venues to anticipate and plan the future in the field of artist’s circulation, put concrete actions and ecological solutions into practice, and stimulate good practices and effective measures for audience development.
The programme will focus on nurturing relationships and opportunities for artists and professionals to access the markets of the so-called alternative music (not mainstream, not classical, not commercial) within Italy, Spain, and Portugal thanks to the partners JAZZ AO CENTRO CLUBE, COIMBRA (PT) and LA PARCERIA, MADRID (SP).
The online training sessions will run from June to October 2024 and these are aimed at transferring know-how and methodologies on the following areas:
- DIY music management
- Distribution and promotion
- Music marketing and communication strategies
- Networking with national and international tutors and speakers
At the end of November T!LT will go ON STAGE with a programme of music, conferences, networking events. The bands in the showcase will receive a grant to cover the expenses for future touring.
A total of four groups will be selected for the programme. Selected groups will receive the following:
- Theoretical and practical training from June to November
- A lump sum of 1,000 EUR for the performance
- A travel grant for future European performances
