YARAT residency (Baku, Azerbaijan) > open call

YARAT Residency is open for artists who are engaged in open, research-based practice across disciplines and show an interest in discovering the Caucasus region. The programme engages residents in discussions with fellow artists and international arts professionals, as well as travel around Azerbaijan. Artworks resulting from the residence are exhibited at the ARTIM Project Space, Baku. YARAT Residency programme is predominantly conducted in English. Deadline: 30 October 2017.

Soulangh Artist Village, Tainan (Taiwan) > Open call for residencies: ‘Site-Specific Art’

Soulangh Artist Village arose from the former Jiali Sugar Factory. The Soulangh Artist Village’s revitalized Japanese era sugar refinery warehouses successfully merge historic architecture with modern design in an area rich in history, culture and agriculture. The artworks for this residency should respond to the Soulangh Artist Village’s environment, including the warehouses, corridors, the railway landscape, the children’s museum, and either the indoor or the outdoor spaces. They should also engage with the locality’s natural and historical sites, and with local communities. Any residents’ programs based on outdoor spaces will be considered as a priority. DeVos Institute of Arts Management at the University of Maryland (USA) > Fellowships

The program is offered free of charge to arts managers from across the United States and around the world through a competitive application process. Fellows attend a four-week residency in Washington, D.C. each summer for three consecutive years and receive ongoing personalized mentoring, both during and between the month-long residencies. Applicants must currently serve as an executive or department head within an arts or cultural organization and have a minimum of five years working experience in an administrative capacity in an arts or cultural organization.Deadline: 15 December 2017.

Leda Atomica > Stage Gamelan (Yogyakarta/Indonésie)

Depuis plus de 10 ans Leda Atomica Musique, avec le soutien de l’AFDAS, organise un stage de Gamelan et de culture javanaise à Yogyakarta capitale culturelle de l’île de JAVA en Indonésie. Ce stage est spécialement conçu pour les artistes occidentaux et co-animé par des acteurs-musiciens indonésiens du collectif Gayam 16 et le vibraphoniste Français Alex Grillo, qui a réalisé un important travail de recherche et d’interprétation autour du gamelan javanais. Open Call for Residences for Artists in FLORA ars+natura, Colombia

FLORA ars+natura is a space for contemporary art in Bogotá, Colombia, that specializes in the relationship between art and nature. FLORA’s foci are: production through commissions and residencies; the circulation of the results, and education. Escuela FLORA brings together around twenty artists of diverse nationalities and backgrounds, selected through an open call. Each one develops her or his practice in a separate studio, attends an independent study program that delves into the creative and research methodologies of contemporary art, and receives feedback from tutors (both local and international artists, curators, thinkers, historians, and researchers), as well as elders from different indigenous groups. European Diploma in Cultural Project Management 2018/2019

The European Diploma in Cultural Project Management is a pan-European training programme arising from the will to foster cultural diversity as well as transregional and transnational cultural exchanges. Each year, around 25 professionals from +/- 20 countries are taking part in the European Diploma. Since 1989, more than 570 cultural managers from 45 countries (from Europe mainly and the Middle East, Canada, Sénégal, etc) followed this course. The programme is supported by the Council of Europe. Ticket Fund by Prince Claus Fund

The Prince Claus Fund’s Ticket Fund supports the cross-cultural exchange of artists and cultural practitioners by covering travel costs, in particular for artists and cultural practitioners living in Latin America, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, non-EU Balkans and non-EU Eastern Europe who wish to travel within these areas. Please note that the Mobility Fund is not accepting applications at the moment. However, the Mobility Fund will open again on 1 February 2018, and you are welcome to submit your application after that date.

The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia is launching a call for performing arts cooperation projects in Europe in order to foster partnerships between Swiss and other European cultural institutions and organisations in the performing arts field. With the support provided, Swiss cultural institutions and organisations are given the opportunity to expand their professional network and to familiarise themselves with local scenes and the working methods of their peers in other European countries. They are also given the possibility of enhancing their own artistic practice through new forms of collaboration. Projects from the following disciplines may be submitted: theatre, dance, literary and visual art performance, contemporary music theatre, contemporary circus. Deadline: 1 March 2018.
