British Council > Cultural Protection Fund: Call for applications

The Fund is designed with applications from UK organisations in mind, but any organisation is eligible to apply. Grants are available to applicants working with local partners in one or more of the Fund’s target countries: Afghanistan, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Iraq, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey and Yemen. Deadlines for the large grants (expression of interest): 31 March 2017 and for the small grants: 21 April, 21 July 2017 and 20 October 2017.

DRAMATURGY AWARD - EMANUELE CARBONI "Theatre of the mystery and noir"

To honor the memory of its member Emanuele Carboni, actor and playwright who died prematurely in June 2016 at the age of 36, the cultural association Music Theatre International (M.Th.I.), in collaboration with FUIS, IGEA association, MTM Lydia Biondi association and with the patronage of the City of Tivoli, announces the first edition of the “Emanuele Carboni Award - theater of the mystery and noir". The award, which aims to enhancing the young Italian dramaturgy, is open to young Italian authors (resident in Italy or abroad) interested in writing text for theatre and who have not yet turned 36 years at the expiry date of the notice. Deadline: 30 June 2017.

STEP stands for ‘Supporting Travel for Engaged Partnerships’. The STEP travel grants funding programme has been initiated and managed by the European Cultural Foundation (ECF), with the support of Compagnia di San Paolo (CdSP). STEP travel grants support creative and critical individual cultural workers who are travelling across Europe and neighbouring countries, to help foster a society with greater solidarity, equality and a stronger sense of social justice. The mobility programme Moving MENA of the Goethe-Institut in Cairo makes it possible for cultural actors, particularly from the Arab countries Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and Jordan, to participate in festivals, exhibits, and other relevant events in Germany and also in other countries of the Arab world. In some cases, travel for the research of future projects can also be supported.There is no specific deadline but applicants should be aware of the visas' timeframe to apply for support.

Arc Art Residency (Switzerland) > Custom-made residency

Custom-made residencies are periods of up to one month for research and reflection, without the pressure of production. A custom-made “package" is put together for each artist (or other practitioner) or group of artists. There can be an individual accompaniment by the Arc director and other external specialists if required for the artistic work process.
