Arc Artist Residency (Switzerland) > Walk and Talk residency

A special characteristic of Arc is the wonderful landscape that surrounds it. As walking can be conducive to the discursive process, we want to regularly invite two persons for shorter residencies, to take long walks in the beautiful green surroundings together. Walk & Talk residencies are aimed at artists and other cultural practitioners who wish to discuss a certain question with an expert from another field. The idea is to give people time to enter into a longer dialogue in another rhythm and collaborative mode. Deadline for application: no later than 2 months before the starting date of your residency.

European Cultural Foundation and Compagnia di San Paolo > STEP travel grants

Through this grants scheme, the European Cultural Foundation funds emerging artists and cultural workers of 18 years old or older in 59 countries to explore and to exchange views, skills and inspiration, create long-lasting collaborations and to instigate a positive change in their communities. They support all kinds of cross-border creativity - including music, visual art, theatre, dance, film, documentary, multimedia, design, photography, fashion and cultural capacity building. #steptravelgrants guidelines are updated! You can now apply for a larger grant if you choose more #sustainable ways of transport such as bus and train journeys. The deadline to apply is a minimum of 60 days before the departure date.

Ticket Fund by Prince Claus Fund

The Prince Claus Fund’s Ticket Fund supports the cross-cultural exchange of artists and cultural practitioners by covering travel costs, in particular for artists and cultural practitioners living in Latin America, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, non-EU Balkans and non-EU Eastern Europe who wish to travel within these areas. Please note that the Mobility Fund is not accepting applications at the moment. However, the Mobility Fund will open again on 1 February 2018, and you are welcome to submit your application after that date.

In 2012, the Federal Cultural Foundation established the TURN – Fund for Artistic Cooperation between Germany and African Countries in order to encourage a wide range of German institutions to shift their focus on the artistic production and cultural debates in African countries.In order to respond to the continued interest in these joint projects, the Federal Cultural Foundation has extended the programme with additional funding until 2021 (originally scheduled to end in April 2020).
