This residency is exclusively for resident citizens from the Arts Collaboratory countries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. It welcomes proposals from diverse cultural agents, artists, writers, researchers, curators, and others interested in creative projects, research, and collaboration within the context of the four AC organisations in Colombia (Lugar a Dudas in Cali, Más Arte Más Acción in el Chocó, Casa Tres Patios and Platohedro in Medellín). Dans le cadre du projet international Future DiverCities, Seconde Nature en partenariat avec le centre artistique LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE à Québec, offrent deux résidences croisées de deux mois chacune à deux artistes (un-e Français-e et un-e Québécois-e). The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is launching Mobility First!, a new fund to support the travel of Asian and European artists and cultural professionals between Asia and Europe. ASEF invites applications from individuals and arts organisations at least two months in advance of the event for which mobility support is being sought. Selection is through competitive open calls.

Mutual Learning is the research and residency component of the Mutual Project. The Mutual Learning Research Residency Program aims to extend the goals of Mutual Unknowns through 2 travel/research/residency grants that will take place in South East Asian countries. The organisers encourage research proposals that are inquisitive and seek to explore the many networks and strategies of interaction, movement, and informality that animate and reinforce the production and presentation of art in the region. Phileas is an independent philanthropic organisation based in Vienna that raises private funding to support ambitious projects within the field of contemporary art. Phileas works together with artists, museums and Biennials to enable the production, exhibition and acquisition of art for public institutions. A particular focus lies on the commission and production of exhibitions by Austrian artists abroad, and by international artists in Austria. Recently, Phileas has established collaborations with many of the world’s leading Biennales, in order to encourage and support the participation of Austrian and Austrian-based artists. The Mazzola brothers, who run the CO.ME.L. company of Latina (Italy), have announced the call of the sixth edition of the International ‘COMEL Award Vanna Migliorin - Contemporary Art’. The Award wants to draw attention to the expressive, aesthetic, communicative and constructive possibilities of aluminum. Participation in the competition is free and open to all artists, 18 years of age and older, that operate in any of the European countries, and use aluminum as the main and significant medium for the realization of the work to be submitted. Deadline: 15 June 2017.
This fund is exclusively for East African nationals and residents looking to travel to either Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda or Ethiopia (18-35 years old). The Mobility East Africa grant programme accepts applications all year round. You can apply at any time but grant review can take up to 3 months.
This programme is devoted to the performing arts and is directed both to live performance artists (of all disciplines) and to visual artists who wish to create for the stage. Indeed, collaborations between performing artists and visual artists are encouraged.
