PCAI residency programme (Greece) > Open call

PCAI is excited to announce the launch of its Artist-in-Residence program focusing on the interaction between contemporary art and environmental consiousness. Believing that art is the best way to stimulate dialogue about sustainable thinking and the crucial matter of toxic waste PCAI invites artists from all over the world to reside for a week in Athens, get inspired and create a video work on the topic. Be Mobile-Create Together! is a multi-national project between Europe and Turkey, providing emerging artists and authors in Turkey opportunities to spend time in artist residencies across Europe, and vice versa. Emerging artists from the fields of visual and digital arts, performative arts, or writers from France, Germany, the Netherlands and Turkey are invited to apply for the open call. The applicants are sought to have lived and worked the last three years in one of the partner countries and show proof of competence and enthusiasm in respective artistic fields. Through the Crossing Borders programme, the organisers fund international research trips by authors, filmmakers and photographers: from China (incl. Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong), India, Indonesia, Japan and Vietnam, to Germany and from German-speaking countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. The organisers welcome applications from authors, filmmakers and photographers who intend to gather information first hand, visit authentic sites and dare to forge their own, new perspective. The intended publication may range from literary and essayistic prose works, poetry, photo-text volumes, children’s and young adults’ literature, scripts for documentary and feature films, to radio programs and multimedia productions. Open call for composers (cecia)

CECIA (Collaborative Electroacoustic Composition with Intelligent Agents) is an innovative art project within the framework of the Interfaces -activity "Cross Genre Residencies" that integrates the creative agency of 5 composers and Machine Learning algorithms in order to produce a coherent composition of electroacoustic music. Villa Vassilieff - Pernod Ricard Fellowship

The Pernod Ricard Fellowship is conceived as a research and artistic platform, experimenting with non‑linear models of generating and distributing knowledge to encourage different possible connections between researchers, contemporary artists, cultural institutions, non-profit organizations and the general public. Every year, 4 international Fellows (artists, curators and researchers) are invited by an Artistic Committee for a 3-month residency on the basis of a research proposal. Mobility Fund by Prince Claus Fund

The Prince Claus Fund’s Mobility Fund supports the cross-cultural exchange of artists and cultural practitioners. The Mobility Fund is now accepting applications for countries listed in the DAC List (please check it). This year, in addition to the regular support of the Mobility Fund, the Prince Claus Fund in cooperation with Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is issuing a mobility call specifically for artists and cultural practitioners from the following Asian countries: - Bangladesh - Pakistan - Cambodia - Philippines - Lao DPR - Vietnam - Myanmar - China - India - Kazakhstan - Indonesia - Malaysia - Mongolia - Thailand, and particularly from women and minority groups.

Reveil 2019 - Call for streams, radios, soundcamps

Over the International Dawn Chorus Day weekend at the start of May, Soundcamp will organize the 6th edition of Reveil - a live 24 hour broadcast of the sounds of daybreak, produced by a network of streamers and relayed by a consortium of radio stations around the world. Swedish Institute >Third Country Participation in the Baltic Sea region

Third Country Participation in the Baltic Sea region offers Swedish actors the opportunity to apply for project funding for the inclusion of actors from Russia or the countries of the EU Eastern Partnership in a current EU project or a flagship within the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. The main applicant has to be based in Sweden. The application must include at least two actors in two different countries eligible for support, one of which is Sweden (as main applicant). The funding is available for actors from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russian Federation, Sweden and Ukraine.Deadline: 28 May 2019 (opens from 1 April 2019).

International Theatre and Music Project “INSTANT ACTS against violence and racism 2019” (Germany and Italy)

Interkunst e.V., located in Berlin, is looking for young performing artists for their upcoming theatre und music tour “INSTANT ACTS against violence and racism”. The project takes place in Germany and Italy (South Tyrol) and is from September 1 until October 26, 2019. The organisers are looking for performers – soloists or duos, age between 18 and 30, who are involved in theatre, dance, music, circus (no aerial acts), x-sport etc. The aim of the project is to reach out a young audience and explore different aspects of violence, racism and islamophobia.
