Acting for Climate (Denmark) > Call for artists

Acting for Climate is a performance art project, from which the goal is to inspire people to take action and act for a more sustainable future. With the performce ”Into the Water” they will create a sailing performance that can travel the world and inspire people, artists and activists through; contemporary circus; physical theatre and workshops. The performance aims to create a wave of inspiration and action. “Into the Water” is not just a small touring performance, it is also a mindset introduced to the world. Acting for Climate is searching for artists of all genres to join its next residency at Hawila, from the 17th to the 22nd of September, in Kastrup, Denmark. Deadline: 23 August 2018.

Atelier franco-allemand pour traducteurs de théâtre contemporain (Allemagne) > Appel à candidatures

Pour la quatrième fois, les partenaires de Transfert Théâtral organisent un atelier francoallemand pour des traductrices et des traducteurs de pièces contemporaines. L’objectif est d’attirer toujours davantage l’attention des traducteurs sur le domaine de la traduction théâtrale et de promouvoir la qualité des traductions. L’atelier de traduction de cette année aura lieu du 19 au 25 novembre 2018 dans le cadre du festival Primeurs à Sarrebruck. Le festival est devenu un événement incontournable de la vie culturelle de Sarrebruck : il présente un choix de textes dramaturgiques contemporains francophones sous forme de pièces radiophoniques en direct ou de lectures scéniques, en français ou en allemand. Delfina Foundation (UK) > Call for expression of interest > Art, Science and Technology

Delfina Foundation is preparing to launch a new thematic programme in 2019 to bring together shared interests and concerns in the fields of art, science and technology. This new theme will initially underline some of Delfina's activities from January 2019 and build towards a concentrated programme of events, projects and exhibitions in autumn 2019, interrelated with residencies. In advance of this launch they are issuing an open call inviting expressions of interest from artists and thinkers who work in the area: on projects that cross art, science, and technology. From the responses they will be selecting projects and practitioners to engage with and support through residencies, collaborations and commissions, as well as to inform our new thematic programme over 2019 and beyond. Aalto University artist in residence (Finland)

Tate, in collaboration with Delfina Foundation, invites applications for the Brooks International Fellowship Programme 2019. Now in its fifth year, the programme is offering an exciting opportunity for one Fellow to work alongside Tate’s Tate Exchange team and its Associate organisations for six months, commencing in January 2019. The programme at Tate will be complemented by activities at Delfina Foundation. Tate encourages applications from candidates working worldwide to explore potential methods and models for international collaboration in relation to Tate Exchange’s partnerships and Associates programme. On offer this year are artist residencies at Bundanon Trust in Australia, Instituto Sacatar in Brazil, Fountainhead Residency & ISCP-NYC in the USA. Residencies at these spaces are available to early and mid-career African artists who predominantly live and work on the continent. The Africa Centre is also accepting applications from mid-late career, highly accomplished artists for residencies at the prestigious Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center located on the shores of Lake Como in Italy. All residencies are available to innovative, provocative and socially conscious visual and performance artists, composers, fiction and nonfiction writers, playwrights, poets, video/filmmakers, curators, as well as artists working in digital art forms. Eleusis 2021 European Capital of Culture > Initiator > Residency programme (Greece)

Eleusis 2021 European Capital of Culture launches Initiator, the first artist-in-residence programme fully dedicated to installation art (site specific, environments etc.). The goal of this residency is to provide space for research, experiment and production for emerging artists, aspiring to become a hub for installation art. Initiator is open to Greek and international contemporary art practitioners in the beginning of their career with interest in installation art, providing them the opportunity to live and work in Eleusis for one month. Dans le cadre de son nouveau mandat sur les industries culturelles et créatives, l’Agence Française de Développement lance l’appel à projets « Afrique Créative » qui vise à soutenir l’entrepreneuriat culturel dans les pays d’Afrique.
