Technische Universität Dresden: Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden for Exploring Art, Science and Artificial Intelligence (Germany)

Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden, part of Technische Universität Dresden, has opened applications for a six-month residency that will start in 2021. The Lab brings together researchers and artists to engage in an exploration of the interactions among technology, art, science and entrepreneurship. The Lab’s current guiding theme is ‘Artificial Intelligence and Social Transformation’. Applications are sought from international artists with a project relevant to this theme. Every two years Junges Ensemble Stuttgart hosts the festival Bright View, a showcase of ground-breaking international theatre for young audiences in Stuttgart. The organisers are inviting 10 people (18-35 years), living and working in Europe, to apply for a scholarship to participate in the Next Generation Residency 2020. The scholarships address young artists and students of the performing arts (dramaturgs, directors, actors, puppeteers, dancers, performers, stage and costume designers, musicians or theatre educationalists) with a specific interest in theatre for young audiences. LABOR, an ephemeral urban laboratory, is calling for proposals for BIVOUAC. Selected artists will work to produce a project at La Rasude, a central district in Lausanne that is currently closed to the public. The Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid is calling for applications for three research residencies. The residencies are connected to its EU project Our Many Europes, which looks at various artist and activist trends from the 1990s. Taking place in Zurich every year, the Zürcher Theater Spektakel is one of the most renowned international festivals of contemporary performing arts. Street art is an integral part of the event, and the curated programme takes place on open air stages (one of them roofed) located at the centre of the festival site.
