Pavillon K is announcing an open call for the January 2025 edition of their Artist in Residence Programme in Vordingborg, Denmark, for two weeks between 6 January and 2 February 2025.
Pavillon K is an association of 12 local performing arts companies working in close collaboration with the regional theatre. Pavillon K is also a venue hosting, among other events, three performing arts festivals for audiences of all ages.
The residency is open to companies and collectives working within the field of performing arts including physical and visual theatre, performance, dance, circus, trans-sectorial and mixed media.
The programme supports performing arts projects in development, not projects that are already finished.
In its 2025 edition the programme focuses on professionals developing their working methods and artistic careers, therefore the age of the applicants must be below or equal to 35.
The open call welcomes applications from companies with a homebase in Denmark and companies based elsewhere in the world and collectives of international artists connected by a common project.
The programme provides the following:
- 3,000 DKK symbolic stipend per artist for up to three artists
- Accommodation in a three-room apartment with basic amenities for up to three residents
- Coverage of travel costs up to 3,500 DKK in total for an international company and up to 1,000 DKK in total for a domestic company
- Working studio space at Pavillon K
- Basic sound and light setup
- Support and assistance from the community of Pavillon K member artists and the house technician
- Help in organising and promoting an event in relation to the residency: artist talk, work in progress presentation, workshop or other dissemination format suggested by the artists.
