Nordseebad Spiekeroog is awarding the Spiekeroog Campsite Residence Scholarship on the theme of ‘Ansichtssache’ (a matter of opinion) in Spiekeroog (Germany).
The campsite is just three kilometres from the village centre, in the middle of a unique natural landscape. Artists regularly use the campsite on Spiekeroog as a place of retreat and as a source of inspiration and creativity.
The artist will reside for four weeks (starting 1 June 2025) on the Spiekeroog campsite in a tent provided and realise an art project according. Depending on the project, it can then be viewed in Spiekeroog until the next season. Artists with installation, land, art, performance, photo and video projects can apply. They are looking for conceptual and temporary projects in public space.
The project provides one-month residence in a tent in the campsite, a 1,400 EUR fee and a maximum of 2,300 EUR for project expenses. Ferry tickets, as well as material transport, are provided.
