Designregio Kortrijk and ABBY Kortrijk, new museum for visual art are joining forces and invite designers and artists to participate in Designers in Residence Kortrijk 2025, with the theme ‘Metamorphosis’.
The residency runs from 5 September to 5 December 2025, immersing residents in an intensive design research journey in Kortrijk (Belgium), inspired by the region’s rich ceramics tradition.
The results of the residency will be showcased at the Metamorphosis exhibition at Abby from 3 April to 16 August 2026.
They are looking for young, driven designers and artists (national and international) who are open to collaboration, experimentation, and research. Experience with ceramics is a plus but not a requirement—affinity with the theme and an experimental design approach is key.
