Asymmetry, in a new partnership with SculptureCenter, is calling for applications from early career curators for the 2025 Asymmetry Curatorial Fellowship in New York, from 4 August 2025–2 April 2027.
This is a post for an early career curator to be embedded within SculptureCenter’s internationally active curatorial department. This fellowship will be Asymmetry’s first international fellowship placement, and first collaboration outside of the UK and Europe.
The position is geared towards a practitioner with demonstrated knowledge and experience of Chinese and Sinophone cultural ecosystems, contemporary artists, and curatorial practice, based in the regions or internationally.
The successful applicant will receive the following salary: 55,000 USD per annum for the first 12 months; then 40,000 USD total for 8 months (60,000 USD per annum, pro rata for 8 months). Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance (beginning the first day of the month following employment start date) and 401k with employer match. Visa/legal fee coverage up to 5,000 USD is available if needed.
