The Artist in Residence Programme Zvjezdane Staze, together with VaClaF: Vareš Classic Festival, invites artists working in the areas of contemporary music composition, electroacoustic/experimental music, sound art, music performance, as well as other artistic disciplines which address sonic aspects in one way or another, to apply for their 2024 residency.

The residency is from 3 July to 30 September 2024 in Mijakovići, near the historic site of Bobovac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Artists are expected to create new works that may be premiered at the residency premises and the VaClaF: Vareš Classic Festival, engaging both local and international audiences.

Based on an ethos rooted in inclusivity and collaboration, the project aims to offer a creative and inspiring environment for participating artists. The residency is hosted in a renovated traditional Bosnian house equipped with modern amenities, including a piano, a multilingual library, an audio library, a multi-channel sound system, a music studio and a small atelier.

This call is open to artists or artist collectives residing in Culture Moves Europe Countries who are aged 18 years and older.

In accordance with the Culture Moves Europe Programme, participants will receive a total amount of 2,250 EUR (a daily stipend of 25 EUR), accommodation, a 350 EUR–700 EUR travel allowance, a 80 EUR financial support for visa expenses and various top-ups.
