Prix Levallois Photography Competition (France)

Created in 2008, the Prix Levallois is an annual award that supports photographers under 35, of all nationalities. All kinds of submissions are welcome: the Prize does not impose any theme or format; only the quality of the work counts in the selection of artists.

After an open application process, fifteen finalist photographers are chosen by the art directors, to be presented and defended before a jury composed of personalities from the world of photography, the sponsor of the Prize (in 2020, Jane Evelyn Atwood), and the Deputy Mayor for cultural affairs of the City of Levallois.

One Prize winner will receive a €10,000 grant, and one Special Mention will be chosen to receive a DSLR camera. An Audience Award will also be made by photography lovers who will vote for their favourite photographer online.

All three winners will participate in the conception of an exhibition — with the help of the art directors — that will be presented at L’Escale gallery, in Levallois in October 2020, and then travel to La Passerelle, Scène nationale des Alpes du Sud, in Gap in December or January 2021. The organiser handles transportation costs up to €1000, taxes included for the overall prize and Special Mention winners.

Deadline: 2 May 2020
