ART-of-the-BOX > Arts Residency Atelier Josepha (Germany)
The Atelier Josepha invites visual artists/writers/composers to spend three weeks in fall 2020 in Ahrenshoop, Germany. There are two consecutive single residencies within the period of September to December. The Arts Residency Atelier Josepha promotes critical reflection on both historical and current circumstances of the Baltic Sea Region.
The residency stands in a tradition of cultural cooperation and exchange within the region. It is also inspired by the need to reflect on our mutual environment and shared seas – both as forces of nature and in their increasing vulnerability. Potential candidates are proposed either by a member of the Atelier Josepha curatorial board or by a partner organization. Partner organizations are independent art projects or spaces in the Baltic Sea geographical region. The residency is coordinated by ARS BALTICA and sponsored by Crazy4Culture.
The residency requires full-time presence in Ahrenshoop. It includes lodging but no board, and a stipend of EUR1,500. In addition, expenses for artistic materials up to EUR250 will be reimbursed (against proof of expenditure). Travel to and from Ahrenshoop from the home address will also be covered (train where possible, flights where needed). Successful applicants will be notified by 15 February 2020.
Deadline: 15 January 2020
