CreArt > AiR in Atelierhaus Salzamt Linz (Austria)
CreArt – Network of Cities for Artistic Creation is looking for two visual artists from CreArt network cities to undertake a one-month residency – 1-29 February 2019 – at the Atelierhaus Salzamt centre in Linz.
The scheme is only open to local artists – born or resident – in the following CreArt cities: Valladolid, Spain; Clermont-Ferrand, France; Lublin, Poland; Skopje, Macedonia; Liverpool, UK; Kaunas, Lithuania; and HDLU members / Zagreb, Croatia. Preference is given to artistic work with a wide variety and diversity. Only visual artists can apply, and it is necessary to have an art degree (university level) or proof of equivalent experience through an artistic career.
Resident artists will receive:
Travel expenses to Linz (up to 500 €).
Studio access and accommodation.
1000 € per month.
The residency itself will take place at Atelierhaus Salzamt, an artist residency space run by the City of Linz, centrally located by the Danube. It is a beautiful old building renovated in 2009, with bright studios and a small restaurant serving local food. The site provides five studios for international artists in residence, four studios for local artists from Linz or Upper Austria, accommodation for international artists, and exhibition spaces.
