Reveil 2019 - Call for streams, radios, soundcamps

Soundcamp are an arts collective based in London. They coordinate Soundcamp / Reveil (2014 - ) and contribute to the Acoustic Commons - a collection of sites, streams, activities and resources for paying attention to ecologies of the everyday.

Over the International Dawn Chorus Day weekend at the start of May, Soundcamp will organize the 6th edition of Reveil - a live 24 hour broadcast of the sounds of daybreak, produced by a network of streamers and relayed by a consortium of radio stations around the world.

Each year, the variety and distribution of sounds depends on new streams set up on the soundmap at Locus Sonus and transmitted at daybreak on IDCD or for a longer period. You can stream with a phone, laptop or Raspberry Pi, using software from Locus Sonus and SC. For 2019 the organisers particularly welcome sounds from islands and archipelagos and from the global South.
