IdeasCity New Orleans (USA) > Open call for residencies
The New Museum announces an open call for participants in IdeasCity New Orleans (15-20 April 2019), the next edition of the institution’s civic platform that explores the future of cities with art and culture as a driving force.
IdeasCity New Orleans invites makers and thinkers from New Orleans and around the world to join this collaborative week-long studio program to prototype cultural, ecological, and material strategies designed for the 2019 theme of Everyday Festival. Participation in the studio residency is determined through an open submission process. Up to 20 applicants will be selected as Fellows by an international panel of artists and curators.
The residency is open to emerging practitioners working at the intersections of urbanism, art, design, community activism, and technology, and is led by V. Mitch McEwen, Curator of IdeasCity, and the cofounder and principal of A(n) Office, a collaborative of design studios in Detroit and New York.
An honorarium, as well as meals, will be provided for all Fellows. Lodging will be provided for Fellows traveling to New Orleans.
Deadline: 15 January 2019
