European Theatre Convention > Artist Residency Programme 2019
The second edition of the ETC Artist Residency Programme offers 7 scholarships for emerging stage directors and dramaturges of 4 to 8 weeks in the first half of the year 2019 at ETC Member Theatres. The selected participants will join the creative team of a theatre production process as assistant or second assistant directors, gaining insights into new working methods, discover the daily routine and structures of a European public theatre. The ETC Artist Residency Programme supports international cooperation, fosters new perspectives and professional artistic experience.
Residency is possible in one of the theatres listed below with mentoring:
Schauspielhaus Graz/Austria – 20 May to 16 June 2019
Deutsches Theater Berlin/Germany – 04 March to 25 April 2019
Theater Magdeburg/Germany – 05 March to 13 April 2019
Weöres Sándor Színház Szombathely/Hungary – mid-April to end of May 2019
Teatrul National “Marin Sorescu” Craiova/Romania – 02 April to 18 May 2019
Slovenian National Theatre Nova Gorica/Slovenia – 07 January to 13 March 2019
Slovenian National Theatre Nova Gorica/Slovenia – 28 January to 04 April 2019
Travel from your hometown to the theatre within Europe and countries participating in the EU Programme Creative Europe (contribution covering up to € 300);
Accommodation during the time of the residency in the city of the theatre;
Contribution to your local expenses (subject to the actual period of stay);
Participation in the ETC International Theatre Conference in Dresden (Germany) from 23 to 26 May 2019, including travel, per diems and accommodation.
You will be asked to arrange and cover your own health insurance for the duration of the residency.
