Ministry of Culture (Taiwan) > Open Call: Grants offered for Southeast Asian artists
In the past years, accepted proposals have led 289 Southeast Asian professionals to either perform, research, or complete an artist residency program in Taiwan. Their combined showcases have enriched the perspectives of Taiwanese audiences, prompting their deeper understanding of Southeast Asian cultures.
In 2016, the initiative broadened its scope by creating a new category of grants for the international promotion of project results upon the completion of collaborative cultural projects in Taiwan. So far, 81 projects have been completed and 19 overseas showcases have been held across Southeast Asia.
The proposed duration of stay in Taiwan cannot exceed six months. For this particular open call, only projects that would take place between January and October 2019 will be taken into consideration.
Grants will be awarded in amounts up to NT$900,000 per project (NT$500,000 for project implementation and NT$400,000 for project promotion).
Deadline: 19 October 2018
