Setouchi Triennale 2019 (Japan) > Call for projects
Setouchi Art Triennale has an international call for site-specific art projects exploring the local resources of each venue of the Setouchi Triennale 2019. Site visits (most of the potential sites are on small islands in the Seto Inland Sea, Japan) are organised in November.
A number of different categories are proposed:
Site-specific performance and event (projects including residency available as their theme)
Project facilitating interaction and exchange
Food project (using local ingredients and collaborating with local people)
Project that promotes local culture through “craft”
About 5 to 20 works will be selected (subject to circumstances)
The selected applicants will be paid for production costs amounting from 500,000 yen to 2,500,000 yen. The final budget will be decided based on the estimates and other data submitted by the applicant.
