TransCultural Exchange's 2018 International Conference on Opportunities in the Arts: Exploring New Horizons
Dates: February 22nd – 24th, 2018
Location: Quebec City, Canada - the 2016 Culture City of the Year
Academic Host: Laval University, with panels, tours and presentations to also take place throughout Quebec City
TransCultural Exchange's International Conferences on Opportunities in the Arts are THE global platform for bringing together artists, critics, gallery owners, curators, residency directors and those working in other fields of interest to artists. They spark connections for art practitioners from around the world. They open doors to new horizons. They advance artistic innovation by putting artists in touch with their international peers, helping them find the time, funds, networks, inspiration and other means to pursue their goals.
Proposals need not conform to traditional panel formats. Papers can be submitted for consideration as individual (20 minute) presentations or panel discussions. They can also be submitted as Pecha Kucha sessions, small workshops, demonstrations or round tables on narrower focused topics, such as ones that encourage participants to share new techniques, or teach relevant online tools, archival methods or grant writing skills.
The Conference Committee will choose their selections solely on the basis of the proposal’s merit and advancement of the Conference’s stated aims. When similar proposals are submitted, TransCultural Exchange reserves the right to select the panel that best suits the overall needs of the Conference’s goals or to propose a merged panel, combining the components of each proposal. All decisions are final.
Deadline: 20 February 2017
