European – Mexican Master Programme Theatre Training Methods for innovative pedagogical practice

Within the framework of the world-wide theatre research project of the International Theatre Institute “The World Theatre Training Library / Laboratory”, a new course of studies for Acting Teachers is being launched at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in co-operation with European Theatre Academies.

This pilot project has the aim to develop the first international M.A. programme for Teaching Acting and Directing.

This new programme will be launched in order to establish vocational training for acting and directing teachers to qualify to the highest professional standards.

It is based on a pedagogical method of creation, which enables students to develop their own training, and their own work-method, with the aim of working as multipliers in the international context in theatre and theatre training.

The course of study has a total of approx. 20 student places.

Applicants should hold a final degree from a university, academy or acting school plus practical experience. In exceptional cases, applicants may be accepted without a degree, where they have several years of practical experience.

The programme will have four semesters.
