Disability and the Performing Arts Sector in Europe: Building Knowledge, Sharing Experience, Looking for Solutions - Survey

This survey is the first of its kind – in terms of scope and target groups – to be run at the level of Creative Europe countries and Switzerland.Th ere are around 40 questions, most of them multiple choice. Your contribution should take about 15 minutes and will be all the more important in a context where cultural accessibility are being challenged by the Covid-19 crisis and the realignment of support systems. Pig: an experiment in collective decision-making > A cultural policy contribution to the evaluation of art in public space

Pig is an art installation in the form of a giant transparent piggy bank. It appears without warning in public space accompanied by a short message: members of the public can put money into Pig’s ‘community fund’ if they want to, and spend it when they’ve agreed how to spend it. Developed by the company Kaleider and supported by IN SITU, the European platform for art in public space, Pig travelled to six locations in Europe within the IN SITU network during 2018-19, and was met with a fascinating range of responses. This report was commissioned by IN SITU, coordinated by On the Move and researched by Uclg Committee on Culture.

SHIFT - Shared Initiatives for Training > On the Move is a partner of this new EU funded project

Climate change, gender equality and inclusion of minorities are key challenges for our rapidly changing world. Arts and culture have a recognised role in shaping societies and have the potential to significantly contribute to a better and more sustainable future for all as recognised in the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project SHIFT will provide training initiatives for cultural leaders, working together and creating paths to face such global challenges. Implementing changes where needed and passing on the gained knowledge to leaders and staff members, of cultural networks and the broader cultural sector are key targets of the project.
