A.I.R./International Artist Residencies, Budapest 2013

The Hungarian Multicultural Center is announcing its calls for artists in residence. The residency is an opportunity for artists, designers, theorists, writers and curators to undertake a period of focused work at the HMC in Budapest. There are several deadlines between February and August.

Aide aux écritures de cinéma : programme francophone - Moulin d'Andé - Céci

Le Moulin d'Andé - Céci attribue, chaque année, vingt résidences d'écriture d'une durée maximum de deux mois à des auteurs francophones. Les candidats, outre la présentation de leur projet d'écriture rédigé en Français, doivent faire état d'une expérience professionnelle significative et attester de leur motivation pour ce dispositif particulier, alliant une grande autonomie à un encadrement pédagogique. Date limite: 15 Octobre.

Exchange grants between Japan and Nordic European countries

The Scandinavia-Japan Sasakawa Foundation provides grants and scholarships for the exchange between Japan and the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. There is only one application date each year - with different deadlines for each country, from 15 January to 1 March.

Roberto Cimetta Fund - Travel grants for artists and cultural operators in the Euro-Arab-Med region. Calls 2013

The Roberto Cimetta Fund (RCF) provides individual travel grants (for international round-trip travel only) to artists and cultural operators living and working in the Euro-Arab region or Mediterranean zone. We aim, through these grants, to support international exchange, capacity building and career processes for the arts and culture. In 2013 there will be four open calls, with deadlines in January, March, June and September. Find all the details online!

Art Moves Africa

Art Moves Africa - AMA supports Artists and cultural operators living and working in Africa active in the sectors of performing and visual arts, music, cinema, literature, and cultural advocacy. AMA supports projects aiming to establish partnerships, to participate in festivals, biennials, artist residencies, productions, touring, workshops and professional development meetings. Deadlines in 2013: 1 January, 1 May, 1 September.

NYFA Emergency Relief Fund for artists working in zone damaged by Hurricane Sandy

The Andy Warhol Foundation, Robert Rauschenberg Foundation and Lambent Foundation (a project of the Tides Center) have established an Emergency Relief Fund, administered by NYFA (New York Foundation for the Arts) to assist artists with damages and losses as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Eligible artists can be working in any discipline and reside in Connecticut, New Jersey or New York. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and grants will be issued every two weeks.

STEP Beyond Travel Grant by European Cultural Foundation

STEP Beyond Travel grants fund up-and-coming artists and cultural workers - with a priority to individuals up to 35 years and/or in the first 10 years of their career - to travel between EU and countries bordering the EU.

ERSTE Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Curators

ERSTE Foundation offers three fellowships for emerging curators from the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia to take part in the curatorial course at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg. The ERSTE Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Curators will cover room and board, travel expenses and the participation fee for the course.

Hot Stoff! Stockholm Fringe Fest 2013 calls for emerging artists

After a successful 3rd year Stockholm Fringe Fest (Stoff) is now opening up the doors to its 4th edition! Stoff is now looking for proposals from emerging artists whose work challenges and questions conventional artistic forms to perform at Stoff 2013 ( 21-24 August). The festival is foremost focused on promoting artists who have not yet found their feet in the industry however we also welcome submissions from established groups/individuals who promote innovation in their artistic work. Residency opportunities at McColl Center for Visual Arts, Charlotte (North Carolina - USA)

McColl Center for Visual Arts' residency program is dedicated to supporting artists regionally, nationally and internationally and promoting contemporary art. The Center's goal is to present art and artists in a way that engages and enriches the public while revealing the creative process through open studios, outreaches, community projects, exhibitions, and educational programs. The Artist-in-Residence receives a stipend, materials budget, travel allowance, and housing (if outside of Charlotte). Deadline: ongoing.

Wolfsonian–Florida International University Fellowship program

The Wolfsonian–FIU Fellowship program promotes scholarly research on the Wolfsonian’s collections. Fellowships include a stipend, accommodations, and round-trip travel. The program is open to holders of master’s or doctoral degrees, Ph.D. candidates, and to others who have a significant record of professional achievement in relevant fields. Scholars from outside of the United States are eligible. Annual deadline: 31 December.
