Delfina Foundation is inviting applicants from India and Turkey for the Research Fellowship 2013, that aims to provide an opportunity for intensive research in the field of visual culture by curators and researchers who have an innovative visual culture project. The residency includes a return flight to London. Deadline: 15 July.
The Goethe-Institut announces a Call for Applications for a Teaching Residency project in collaboration with Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts in Bangalore (India), starting from 1 September. Applications are invited from artists living and working in Germany and the Goethe-Institut will bear economy return airfare from Germany to Bangalore (other costs are paid as well). The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), and its partners Arts Network Asia (ANA) and the European network Trans Europe Halles (TEH), call for joint proposals from Asian and European arts organisations for the 3rd edition of Creative Encounters: Cultural Partnerships between Asia and Europe. The deadline for applications is 15 August.
The Residency programme has been conceived as a long-term collaboration between the Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore and various innovative and contemporary art/cultural spaces in Bangalore, with a view to offering German aspirants a space conducive to creative output and the opportunity to work with Indian artists/experts, in the challenging context of Asia's fastest-growing metropolis. Platform meeting of Asian and European cultural mobility funders, Prague- Czech Republic, 5-6 June 2013
Over 35 organisations and institutions from Asia and Europe gathered in Prague, Czech Republic in early June for the first ever meeting of mobility funders from Asia and Europe, organised by the Czech Arts and Theatre Institute, Kelola Foundation (Indonesia) and On the Move with the support of the Creative Encounters programme of ASEF – Asia-Europe Foundation and Arts Network Asia. Beppu Project (Japan) is now calling for artists from various disciplines in the contemporary art field to submit a project on the theme “SPACE-TIME”. The support includes artistic fee, production cost, travel and transportation, accommodation, per diem, studios. Deadline: 21 June.

Eligible activities include hosting panel discussions, traveling to conferences, participating in policy debates, and promoting fellows' ideas in public venues. The Toyota Foundation has provided grants to support initiatives addressing a variety of issues in a wide range of fields. Since the foundation’s establishment in 1974, a central theme has been the pursuit of a society with pluralistic values. The upcoming international grant programme is open to people and organisations from Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Deadline on 21 June!
Commissioned by international arts organisation The South Project, Mapping South: Journeys in South-South Cultural Relations is a publication celebrating 10 years of cultural exchange and dialogue between arts practitioners from countries of the southern hemisphere.
The aim of this AIR program is not only to support the artist whilst he creates his /her work, but also to use the program as a tool with which to educate the local audience about art. Through the encounters and the interaction between the artists and people in Aomori a new creative space will be born. The call is open to Japanese and international artists working in the field of contemporary art (regardless of genre) and able to speak English. Travel costs covered by the residency.
